monotony.
Everyday is the same as the day before it was. Like seriously, I know I sound like a depressed emo kid or something, but it's getting sooo old. I need variety. And right now I have a killer headache, which is superrrr awesome. I think I pulled a muscle near my uterus today at cheer practice too, so it hurts like a mofo to stand/walk. I loooooove it. Tired of hearing me complain yet? Toooo damn bad. But, I start dance tomorrow, so that'll make me super happy! It keeps me sane.

four.
Well, today has been a really long day. School drug [is that the right form of the word?]
on and on and on and on. Literally, it felt like it was FOREVER. Not to mention I was having a horrible hair day, which always makes things worse. But in my first hour - senior service - the teacher sat me down and was like 'here, use this music writing software that you've never seen before in your life and transpose a shit ton of music while I leave the building to take a phone call'. Ohkay, so I guess that's not exactly how it went down... but that's what I ended up doing. I literally sat there and was like 'what.the.hell.am.i.doing.' and it was a tragic mess. Then in AP Lit, I got back a paper that I did ruuuully badly on. And so went the rest of my day in the same fashion. On the upside, my friend Jackie and I audition to sing a duet of the national anthem for the football game Friday night and our choir director loved it! So yeah... that's my life.

seniors.
Gahhh.. I haven't blogged in about 7000 years. So much has happened in the last month it's ridiculous. I've been to Italy and back (which was wonderful, by the way!) and started my senior year of high school, which is soooo hard to believe! It seems like just yesterday I was walking into my school freaking out about lockers and classes and friends. I've come a looooong way from that nerdy little freshman that I used to be. Looking back at the time that's past, I've learned so much and had so so many people touch my life. I honestly can't even believe I've made it this far. This morning, I started filling out my first college application and it just feels like everything is already starting to come to a close. I'm scared. I'm so scared. I've got a great group of friends and so leaving them is gonna be a struggle. This is turning into a really sappy post... sorry about that.Anyway, things here have been going really well. I've just been cheering and I start dance this week, so I'll be keeping busy. Don't expect to see me update this too often, but I'll get on every once in a while when I have something to say.

blessings and more rantings.
Well, its been kind of a shitty two days. But... good news too! During the surgery for the family friend, they realized that there wasn't cancer on his kidney, just a cyst! And the little things they had seen on his bladder were just an infection! God is so good!
On the other hand, I have a life lesson I want to teach all of you. If you are ever at a doctors office and have to wait a long time for your appointment, don't yell at the helpless teenage girl sitting at the counter. Yell at the older lady who looks like she has a clue what's going on in life. The helpless teenage girl has nothing to do with your doctor's previous appointment running late and cutting into your time, and she certainly can't do anything about it. Asking her to fix the situation will get you nothing but a confused face and a flustered response. And then she'll wait til the older lady is done with whatever she's doing and make you talk to her. At that point, the helpless teenage girl will feel responsible for the problem and probably feel like a nuisance for the rest of the day. Especially if she messed up all the files earlier too and got in trouble for it. Yeah, today wasn't a great day at the hospital for me.
I went to my first summer cheer practice today too. It kicked my ass and I totally screwed up my knee. I'm embarrassing. All of this mixed with some personal crap that's going down and I'm just kind of a mess.... so much fun.
Welllp, that's pretty much it for today.

ranting
Look at meee, bored again. It seems like whenever I'm bored, I come here and tell you ALL about my life. I'm just soo glad you care....
Today a lotttt of my family was here. Like, at least 30 to 40 of them. And it probably wasn't even half of my actual family.... there's a lot of us. But it was crazy and fun, gotta love family time. Then I went and Celebrated America. One show and then I'm done FOREVERRRR! Alleluia.
A good friend of the family was diagnosed with kidney cancer earlier this week. He's going in for surgery on Tuesday to have his kidney removed, which we're hoping will take care of it. He is one of the BEST people I know and I really don't understand why such shitty things happen to such great people. It never ceases to amaze me. Why can't all the criminals and child abusers be struck with cancer (which I know is a horrible thing to wish upon anyone...) instead of the great people that make a positive impact on so many lives. It just seems like so many amazing people have gotten cancer recently and it's not fair that they are taken from us when they had so much life left to live. I guess God has it all in His plan, but I sure don't know what that plan could possibly be. I mean, people try to say He needs more angels in heaven, but don't you think He has plenty up there? Seriously, He has thousands of generations of angels floating around up there (don't get all theological with me now... I realize they aren't angels, they're saints or whatever... bear with me), I don't think He really needs to take the ones from us. They still have so much left to live for and so many more hearts to touch here on earth. I guess I'll never understand but it would sure make life easier if I could know what greater purpose this has... cause I sure can't see what it is.
Ooof, sorry about that. When I get going on something, it becomes realllly hard to stop. Plus it's like 11:30 at night and the later it gets, the more emotional I become. I should stop now before I say something I really regret later.

ch-ch-changes.
I get bored easily. So I changed all my background and font settings. YAYY.
Yesterday I volunteered at the hospital in the afternoon, filing and faxing for Brenda. After that, I hung out with my boyfriend... we ate almost an entire 16 inch pizza. It was kind of embarrassing. Then we went to adoration and hung out and such.
This morning I got up bright and early to go to the Farmers Market with Laura and Laina. I'd never been to ours before (or any for that matter... except Pikes Place in Seattle - the city of my dreams), so I was super excited. We walked around for a while and bought GORGEOUS sunflowers for only $1. I got a dark chocolate croissant for breakfast and bought some white cheddar cheese. Between the three of us, we had bought the beginnings of what looked like a good lunch, so we ran to Fresh Market to get the rest of the things we needed.
We ended up having a wonderful gourmet lunch of sauteed asparagus and kale, rosemary champagne noodles with a white cheddar garlic wine sauce, rosemary seasalt bread and a kale stalk and apple salad. It was delicious!
my beautiful sunflower!
Tonight I have one final Celebrate America dress rehearsal... the end is finally near! Unfortunately it's like 100 degrees outside... and the performance is outside too. Plus, the backstage/dressing room area is 20 degrees hotter than it is outside. The damn men get an air conditioned dressing room. NOT ok.
Family from Colorado is coming to town tomorrow, so I'll be pretty busy with that and finishing some summer economics homework. Oh, so fun!
